Tired of Being Sick and Tired? Try Reflexology

Did you know that 75% of disease is caused by stress? Have you noticed, for example, that when you have been on the go for too long, or when work and/or home life is stressful,  that you get sick, tired, have headaches, back pain, neck and shoulder pain, stomach problems, insomnia, restlessness, anxiety... you fill in the blank! Then, throw in the holidays, and it's no wonder why so many people get sick!

 

This is caused by prolonged periods of your nervous system being in the "fight or flight" mode. Our amazing bodies are continually working to keep us in a state of homeostasis (balance), but if there is too much stress for too long without a way to release it, physical signs of pain, fatigue, and disease (dis-ease) start to manifest. 

 

One of the greatest benefits of reflexology is that it helps reduce stress. Reflexology has been proven to balance the nervous system by decreasing the sympathetic nervous system ("fight or flight"), and increasing the parasympathetic nervous system ("feed and breed").  When a body is balanced, it is able to maintain and restore a healthy state of being! I think that's what we all really want and ask for - good health for ourselves and our loved ones! After all, life is so much more enjoyable when we feel good in our bodies!
